I went for the EX because being a low mileage driver now, this will be with me for a while, I would always be wishing I'd got all the toys.

I like the privacy glass, never had it before, saves dipping the mirror. Plus it's .... private.

When I think back, I was doing 30k a year back in the 70's, now, only about 3k a year max.
Let's be careful out there !

Picking up a Honda Jazz e:HEV Luxe hybrid tomorrow
This is the only Jazz hybrid sold in New Zealand; the CrossStar and the lower spec Jazz are still 100% internal combustion engine.
The e:HEV is the equivalent of the top specification UK Honda Jazz.
Not sure if the software will be the same as for the UK Honda Jazz

The Luxe version I've seen online is the version I'd have liked.

The black/brown interior looks the nicest of all the interiors I've seen.

NZ also get the black front cup holders that Honda refuse to send to the UK.
Let's be careful out there !

My New Zealand Jazz hybrid only comes with a paper manual, no PDF - countries referenced in the manual are New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Macau and Africa so I think my Jazz is the "minor countries of the rest of the world" version.
I will post a list of the major differences to the UK version of the Jazz after I have read the 500 page manual  (I have downloaded the PDF of the UK Jazz)

Interesting to see, as the motoring press seemed to universally recommend the SR as the 'sweetspot'. Just shows how much they know their readership. Or maybe this site has a skewed subset of Jazz owners.
When picking up my new EX today I mentioned this to the rep. He replied that i) by some margin most of the models they sold were EX  and ii) car magazines rarely if ever recommend the most expensive model in a range as they like to pick out "good value". Also Jazz owners typical demographic may be less price sensitive, the Peugeot branch of the same dealer tended to sell proportionately more of their cheaper models.

Crosstar in red with black roof.
Had it 12 months just had it's first service.
I asked if the heated steering wheel could be fitted and that's a "no".
It's a much better drive than the MK3
I can see it being a family member for some time to come.
No downsides at the moment.

I have had my Jazz crossbar 4weeks now and the reason I chose the cross star was because it's a bit higher than the jazz.I had a vw golf previously but the cross star is much more comfortable and the mpg
On mixed driving is 66mpg around town with a gentle right foot I Get more as up to 28 mph it runs on battery I would go as far to say it rates as one of the best cars I have had and believe me I have had lots If I had one problem it would be tuning the radio in  :)

Same here ! it rides higher than I expected for the extra 30 mm. It's certainly the best small car we have had !

Jazz sr - replaced a 2005 civic which had cat stolen and written off. Great car but front sensing camera failed twice and Honda will not permit fitting new as may be a software problem so have to drive without safety aids and with dash flashing lights on start up!.The 2005 civic never failed in 160,000 miles 2 failures in 3000 miles on this one.

That's not good enough from the dealer. Whether it's a software or hardware issue is irrelevant, the car's under warranty so they have to fix it. If you've given them a chance to do that, and they can't or won't, then you're entitled to reject the vehicle.

Sorry to hear about the camera failure - I've heard of another one on a Facebook Jazz group.

In their case the dealer said the front cameras were out of stock and not expected to come in for at least a month :(

So they are expected to drive around for over a month with no safety features - and for my EX if it fails, it would mean no cruise control which I use every trip.

Perhaps there are issues with the cameras failing and it's caused a backlog of parts orders?
