Indeed, an interesting slant. Our Jazz had its 3 year service on August 28, the brake fluid was changed.  So that was two and a half months ago now.
Does that mean we are lucky or that things will go wrong tomorrow? Everyone please fingers crossed!

I think light sensitivity (photophobia) can vary between individuals  and in some cases might indicate other underlying conditions.  I'd get my eyes checked at the opticians, and ask the optometrist whether any special night lenses are needed or might help.  Professionals might consider them of limited benefit.  I didnt get any hard sell tactics  when I mentioned I might get my reading glasses  cheaper elsewhere. ;D  8)

Main problem is not so much  that LED headlights are bright, but that many owners dont know they should adjust their beam height for different car loadings, or even that you can do so.  Mine were set too  high when I took delivery of the car.

I vaguely recall mention that the UK highways authorities are  rethinking whether to reduce the level of  street lighting  due to increased use of led headlights.

Ninanina, assuming you are looking in the Portsmouth area I am rightly or wrongly possibly looking at the car online that maybe you are considering.  It could be a good buy but difficult to tell without actually physically seeing it. It’s a nice colour as well!!

My 2020 Jazz Hev failed today, awaiting test by the dealer tomorrow, but all the dash lights on and the AA guy said prepare yourself for a big bill. Shocking situation for a car with just 27,000 miles on the clock! I've come across an article by a mechanic who believes the servicing procedure is at fault as well as an iffy part (Mine has just had a service, no faults prior to that).

An interesting slant - thanks for posting. Just an impression but I sense that a critical time for failure is just after a service, especially if the brake fluid has been changed. I had a 3 year service on the 15th of October :o

2021 would still possibly be in the period when there were some brake simulator failures but if you have a warranty that would be covered if you were unlucky enough to have the problem. Honda do offer extended warranties of 1, 2 or 3 years which can be purchased once a current warranty runs out and if you are now paying much less than the 23 model you would have  plenty of spare cash to easily cover that. You maybe able to negotiate a deal on that  as well.

new cars with these LED lights are the exact.opposite. Far too bright. I drive a lot at night and find myself getting blinded by them far too often these days.
Absolutely appalling things. Even worse with current trends, with headlamps being mounted high on the front of taller SUV vehicles! Double whammy poor design and very unsafe as a result.

I had a 2021 EX and now have a 2024 advance. I have not yet done enough miles to notice everything but would say  that fundamentally there is not much difference.

Different front grill and styling below the tailgate.  Some changes  about how functions are controlled using touch screen menu and possibly some  fine tuning   improvement in how the car performs in cruise control and other driver aids.    EX has front fog lights, which my advance does not, but I never used them anyway.

My car also has the  different "Here" satnav and the legally required speed alarm bongs,  but I dont think you get those on 2023 car.

Ultimately I think its a decision on what value you place on owning a car thats not yet subject to MOT's and  in 3 years time will be 5 years old, not 6 - 7 years old .   Thats  a  personal choice and a difficult one.
With your anticipated continued low annual mileage I would probably chose a 2021 and save £5000.

Polaroid glasses are especially good in reducing glare, while not being very dark. Also colors are similar to not wearing glasses. I’m very happy to use mine at night  :D
