Title: Ordered facelift Jazz today to replace 2021 e:hev
Post by: GreyJazznz on February 03, 2023, 01:00:03 AM
Hello all,

After test driving the facelift model today we have ordered a 2023 Jazz to replace our 2021 e:hev. There are minor differences only (wireless cellphone charging etc.) but the changeover amount was very favourable. The 2023 is even more refined - somehow the engine seems quieter and the ride is improved. I couldn't really detect the difference in performance from the improved powertrain but it remains a smooth and mature-feeling vehicle, despite the small size. Even after 15,000kms I was still very happy with the 2021 model, so hopefully the replacement will be just as good. Delivery estimate is mid-March. If only more buyers could see beyond the looks and grasp what an incredibly well-engineered car the Jazz is!

Jazz Mk4 Gen1 is a little bit lazy. After 1.0 TSI Seat Arona but I like it I'm a little bit lazy too :)

But new facelift Gen2 will be perfect I guess. Almost ever motor gain %10 boost it's good upgrade.

The original poster lives in New Zealand so I would imagine that the release date is different to UK.

I ordered a new Jazz in September due for delivery in March, I contacted the dealer a couple of weeks ago who confirmed my car will be the present model.

I to am awaiting a march delivery of a xstar, I did cheekily ask the showroom if the car will actually be new or one left for months in the big Honda car park somewhere until sold. I do believe the VIN number can clarify year of birth.

Yes, the 10th letter

M = MY21
N = MY22
O should be MY23 if O is used.

Model Year doesn't follow any set pattern. My MY22 Jazz was delivered Sep 21

The dealer will supply whatever was specified on the contractual order form. He would leave himself open to allegations of breach of contract if he did anything else without your agreement. If that is for the outgoing model and you would prefer to switch your order to the facelifted model, why not ask him if that would be possible (and at what cost)?

I suspect the UK is currently getting unsold Japanese first generation right hand drive Crosstars as the other versions are not presently available in the UK I understand. Production of the first generation will have ceased in favour of the new model.

The revised new mode will probably arrive in the UK late Spring ? It's already available in New Zealand apparently. Europe seems to get new Hondas later.

I doubt that’s case as the Japanese market Crosstar is not a hybrid.

My car has a P as the 10th letter of the VIN, delivered & registered March 2022

I guessed, as I posted, that they may miss out O.

So P is MY23
