Scaffolding
« on: July 18, 2022, 01:09:07 PM »
I need to paint fascia boards around house (only at level above first floor ~ 10 ft/ 3m high)
My wife is no longer happy with me working from a ladder or step ladder even at that height.
I remember someone recently hired a scaffold and carried it in the back of a Jazz but can't find the link.
Would
https://www.hss.com/hire/p/podium-step-1-5m
a)be overkill
b)fit in the back of the Jazz
If the original poster reads this could he post a link to the scaffold he hired or suggest a more suitable scaffold.
The one shown looks as if it would have too big a footprint to fit the paths around much of the house.

Would you consider having it delivered and prevent any potential damage to the interior as could be covered in paint drips etc?

Not too bothered about that with the backseats down and a tarpaulin in the back.
Size was my main criterion.
It seems odd that the description did not include dimensions.
From the photo it looks OK heightwise but footprint looks too big although doubtless needed for stability.

Edit Just found the specifications. Doh
but would still be grateful for input from original poster of post on scaffold in Jazz.

I have some work to do to my 1930's house, and need access to areas where a ladder won't reach. Tower access is the solution, so off to the local hire place I go to rent one of these:

Amazed it all fitted in my little Jazz. Saved me £50 delivery and collection charge, fantastic!  ;D
