Which is taking old people's cars away from them.
My first car was a Saxo diesel which my girlfriends grandparents asked if they could park it in my garage. They never actually gave it to me but because they were in poor health they never used it again. So I kept it and it became my car unofficially. Between me and my sister in law we rammed it into various obstacles so many times that the bumpers were hanging by a thread in the end. But that is the fate of many a young adult's first car.
Then I fell in love with the Honda Jazz because I like my stuff to last. I bought a very nice one from 2009 but with only 70000 km (44000 miles) on it. The previous owner has Alzheimer which is why her children took her licence away. Her children say she was becoming a danger on the road. She had scratched the car up a bit and destroyed a side mirror cover. I don't mind the scratches however and Aliexpress sells mirror covers for peanuts.
I got a great price on it I think, 5000 euros for a Jazz in impeccable mechanical state. I bought it in Barcelona and drove it home yesterday, which is a 7 hour drive. My lack of planning got me caught in the middle of a snow storm but my Jazz got me home safe and sound.
I absolutely love the car, it has everything I need and nothing I don't.
Looking forward to hanging out here and chatting about cars!
