Title: Newbie!!!!
Post by: guest3049 on February 01, 2012, 12:39:46 PM
Hello everyone!!!

My names Tom judge 18 years old from burnley in the north west!!

I've been driving for a year now on my dads insurance to make it cheaper but was a waste of time because my insurance is £5,000 on my Peugeot 206 but on the Honda jazz I'm getting of my gran for free is £3,200. Getting a silver 1.4 automatic jazz 54 plate 8K miles! HAPPY DAYS!

Was wondering if anyone has any modified jazz's on here and could tell me about some relatively cheap mods for the car?

People seem much nicer on this forum compared to 206info.co.uk where they bite your head of for asking silly questions when I'm new to car mods and not a mechanic.

Thanks, Tom Judge

hi tom welcome,if your paying £3200 to insure a jazz without modification think what the cost will be if you start to modify at your age, i would wait till you've earned a few years no claim bonus first. :'(

Hello and welcome Tom  8)

I agree with boatman in that if its going to cost you £3,200 for the insurance, you're better off building up your no claims.

No offence intend to yourself but I really cant understand how/why you would pay that much insurance- its probs the same as the value of the car!! Crazy!!

I'm actually a modder myself (have a search of my build up thread  ;D) but I've built up my no claims over the years so it doesnt make that much of a difference cost wise on insurance

i mean just little mods like lowering and then my sound system like i did in my 206, and painted vent surrounds. Going to get my dad to ring up my insurnace company and find out how much it would cost me on insurnace for tinted windows some insurers dont mind do they? thanks for all the comments starting to like this forum much more than the 206 one because people are helpful and gernally nice compared to those buggers!!
