« Last post by Marco1979 on March 09, 2026, 03:55:54 PM »The sound actually is the real engine sound, but the engine is programmed to vary the revs a bit as if it does change gear. So you hear the engine going towards 6000 rpm, then drop instantly to 5000 ish and then slowly towards 6000 again.
So real noise, but no mechanical meaning, just the generator being driven following a programmed scheme.

That's a very special Jazz Mk4 you have! I think they all have a combustion engine that makes noise (when running).
Furthermore, every Jazz Mk4 imitates/fakes "shifting" when accelerating quickly.
Or perhaps I missed that there's also a different, fully electric version of our Jazz?

However, they apparently add fake engine noises, presumably with fake gear changes, to please the fans. I’m glad we’re spared that. I think Honda make the engines for Red Bull.

However, they apparently add fake engine noises, presumably with fake gear changes, to please the fans. I’m glad we’re spared that. I think Honda make the engines for Red Bull.

I just thought to share that I used fuel additive for couple of fills and also switched to E05 petrol.
I am not seeing engine light or P0420 anymore.

« Last post by Deejay on March 09, 2026, 10:10:11 AM »I've not heard of it being an option in Europe. You might be able to obtain one in Japan, but you might need to buy the whole rear seat, (2x backs and 2x base ), and the upholstery may not match. Could be very expensive..
A possible alternative is the following on UK ebay, but despatched from Germany. Its described as an armrest bag ,presumably because it functions like a seat armrest but easily removable like a bag if necessary Not ideal as it may take up space if you need to put the seat back down or carry 3 rear passengers.
It is quite expensive but claims to be genuine Honda ,'not a cheap aftermarket item ' It might be worth considering (or one of the 'cheap after market items' if you can find any for sale).
