There is at least one thread here on how to cure this common squeak.

I find it best to do a Google search by site name.  Try "site:clubjazz.org clutch squeek" in Google.

You need to go to "Clubjazz - Honda Jazz & HR-V Forums" then enter your search. That checks the entire forum.

For all forums, I find that the Google search engine does a far better job of searching sites that the ones built into forums.  Just put "site:<sitename>" as part of the search string.

I think this is the one you want https://clubjazz.org/forum/index.php?topic=9264.msg49409#msg49409

I've still got a squeak after two atempts at lubricating it but I hadn't seen this which suggests depressing the pedal till you can get grease in. More grovelling  in the footwell for me  :D

PS I found it by searching ctuch squeak on the forums page here.

I find lubricant with PTFE is much better than silicone - try 3 in 1 advanced lube with PTFE,  I use it on padlocks out in all weathers and it lasts years ( at least 7 years and the locks still work freely ).  You could try GT85 which is not expensive and is widely available - it is safe with rubber as well  :-X
Some people will only consider you an expert if they agree with your point of view or advice,  when you give them advice they don't like they consider you an idiot

I find that as well in fact I have posted that suggestion on here before - the hits are more specific than searching on forum.  As Jock said earlier when you are searching on the forum if you don't go to 'root' of forum "Clubjazz - Honda Jazz & HR-V Forums"  you often do not get all the info.

That's right, the search box at the top only search the section you are browsing, or even just the thread you are on. You need to go to the main index to search the whole site.

Had this problem on my Jazz.  Took it into the dealership and they diagnosed and replaced the Clutch Master Cylinder under warranty.  No more squeak  :)

any advice for this from both the pedal and under the bonnet (prob due to not being used much these days) is it just silicone or white grease time or something else

did anyone have any success with push the pedal in and put some white grease in the gap of the cylinder?

cheers
