We all know the issues with gearbox bearing in the manual Jazz but the more I listen to mine and the more I read here then the more I think the noise I hear is not the standard "whine". What I experience with 1st and 2nd gear on my 95K Jazz is a noise on the over run, like straight cut gears whining. The noise that a truck gearbox, from days gone by, used to make. There is some gear noise in first under heavy acceleration, but not a lot, and 2nd is quite quiet. Is this the standard Jazz whine as the bearings start to wear?
