New floor mats
« on: April 24, 2016, 07:04:49 PM »
I bought these after market floor mats off ebay a couple of weeks ago, £11.99 with free postage. I was really surprised by the quality, much better than I expected.

The only issue is the holes are bigger then the pegs on the OEM T-clamp but they don't appear to move around and it does make removing the mats easier.

look good. Are your pegs built into the car's carpet, my car has no pegs, so my Honda mats move around.

I switched to rubber mats, partly due to some of the muddy places I end up, and they have outlasted my previous sets of cloth mats by probably 3x, no peg holes but the spiked backs keep them exactly in place. I will put the deep pile cloth mats back in if I ever sell this car, because the rubber is a bit 'transit van'.

Must say the black trim with chrome accents is so much better than the blue interior.

You have the sliding armrest centre console!  :o *jelly*

I actually had similar mats in my car when I bought it last year however as much as I like how they remained black throughout the trouble is they don't brush very well and there are small stuff stuck in them which wont come out.

Bought a used set of genuine mats in epic condition for £5 on Gumtree and they brush clean without issue so these ones are now out for now...

I have the T-shaped clamp that came with the OEM mats that attaches to the bottom of the seat. In this Jazz the T-clamp was installed by the dealer, in my first Jazz the dealer didn't fit it and gave it to me in a plastic bag. I can't remember why they didn't fit it but I don't remember the mats moving around without it.

I see if I can take a photo of it at the weekend.

legend-ary...yes that's the OEM sliding arm rest the dealer installed when I purchased the car - see here:

There's some slight wear in the armrest as those photos were taken back in 2007 when I purchased the car.

Wow that looks amazing! I have been keeping an eye but hardly comes up ever on eBay. Just like leather steering wheel which I have seen on a couple of PFL ones. Lucky you!!

Thanks. :)

Alpine, I'm unable to resize the photo for uploading but the floor mat anchor is similar to this one posted on another forum. I think someone else on here tried to order one and was told they're no longer available:

nice dude, here floor mats cost like 40euros for the jazz.. my driver side was soo worn that I bought a cheap set of universal mats for like 5euros, and just cut it to shape to fit my driver side mat.
