Under bonnet aircon fan... single or twin speed?

Following on from my "Air conditioning not working thread"...
http://clubjazz.org/forum/index.php?topic=7223.0
Can anyone with an early Jazz... 2002... have a listen when they've got time and tell me if their under bonnet aircon fan (the one on the drivers side behind the condenser) runs at just one speed or two?
I can find references online to a fan fast speed but ours seems to have just the one steady speed.

On any that I have owned the AC fan has only one speed but it is intermittent coming on only when the compressor comes on and it cycles roughly every 8 to 10 seconds on/off. It is very noisy.
