Jerking

I have a 2008 Honda Jazz 1.4 CVT with about 130k km on the clock. It started jerking a while ago. My mech changed the spark plugs (all eight) and it was all good for a few months. The jerking has come back, a bit worse than the first time. What do I mean by jerking, it is like the car cuts out for a fraction of a second, my kids say it has a hiccup.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated

Have you checked out the egr valve?

Some feedback:
I called the local agent who suggested that it may be a ignition coil, they replace all 8 at once and charge R10500. I decided to purchase a set (one front and one tear-R1300) which I put in the first cylinder. The problem persisted so I put the old ones from 1 into 2. Problem persisted so I was about to put 2 into three when a colleague said he had a ODB 2 device. We plugged it onto the port in the footwell and read the fault log on his phone. Once we interpreted the fault code, rear coil on 2 or 3 misfire. So I proceeded with  changing the rear coil only on 3( I had already changed 2) problem solved . The OBD 2 device is relatively cheap (aliexpress.com) and will work with any Android phone over Bluetooth, for and Apple device you need the wifi version
