I drove from Kent into East (then west) Sussex  recently and was quite shocked how bad even the primary A roads have become. I have known much worse in some other countries in the past but at least you knew to expect potholes. And many have since improved their roads a lot.  In some ways the UK is worse.  The road may be OK  until suddenly its not, and it takes you by surprise.

Nope, never used one. No doubt I will eventually give in and swear at it but I do have a map fetish  8)

Never used satnag of any type? :o   I would be literally lost  without mine  ,despite any shortcomings.  They are invaluable for finding your way  through an unfamiliar town, and finding  locations  where you might have to follow contrary one ways streets etc.   Safer too as you can concentrate more on other traffic and make decisive  turns etc. Confused drivers, bewildered ,dithering , unsure where they need to go  and getting increasingly stressed  can be a real menace.
Also helps with rural locations where a postal address is too vague to be of much help.    As with other driver aids you need to remain in control and use  common sense at times rather than blindly following  its every 'command'  .

Unless your driving rarely takes you into unfamiliar locations you really are missing out on a useful aid.   They do take a little bit of getting used to.   My wife has not much experience following satnav whilst driving.

Well forget the built-in Satnav and connect your phone to use Apple or Google maps. The built-in Garmin has no live traffic, perfect to take you straight into the back of a traffic jam. A major unacceptable omission by Honda in my opinion

Thats great to know, thanks

Ah, the joy of electrically heated windscreen. It surprises me that so few cars have them because it is a primary safety issue.

I always have my fingers crossed that no one will want to steal my Jaguar when my Jazz is sitting next to it on the drive  ;)

Still, my Jaguar has the Secure Tracker Pro fitted(3 year subscription) which hopefully addresses both the key issues and tracks the car since it is Thatcham S5 compliant

Thatcham Category S5 is for devices that provide post-theft vehicle tracking and Automatic Driver Recognition (ADR). ADR is a feature on premium tracking products that identifies approved drivers. These identifiers are usually small tags the driver keeps on their keys or on their person. Vehicle movement without a tag will automatically send an alert to the owner directly.

UK roads are just awful after winter, nothing to do with studded tyres, as 90 + percent drive on summer tyres all year round, but because there's dwindling investment in infrastructure, plus a lot of long distance haulage on the roads, that should really be by rail.  In East Sussex where I live, the roads in the countryside are literally awful.  Time to write to MP (who will obviously just ignore me)

I drive on Falken All Seasons in Crosstar standard size, and they're pretty good for most of our weather here. I would consider going back to unstudied winter / summer combo though  :)

+1 for Stoplock, why target Jazz when you can be off inside 2 mins on JLR vehicles

Maybe because those JLR vehicles have a Bearlock installed?

Stoplock pro here. Fits the wheel perfectly, easy to use. The arm rests nicely on the gear stick panel/trim.
