Shut Off On Overrun
« on: June 26, 2017, 07:02:11 PM »
Does the Electronic fuel injection on my 1.2 i-DSI GD-5 have a "shut off on overrun" and if so does it only shut off fuel above a certain rpm?

I think for some years now cars have had fuel shut off systems.
It operates when the throttle is shut and the engine revs are above tick-over.
As the engine slows down to idle speed the fuel is re-applied so the engine ticks over.
This can sometimes be felt as a slight surge as you come to a stop.
