I'm having troubles with my AC compressor after aprox. 190k km driven, 2009 GG. There is some noise coming out of the compressor. The clutch is working now after repair (electricity problem) but the noise remain, only heard when compressor is not activated (?). Perhaps is just a worn clutch bearing which was overlooked at the AC repair garage (they say it seems fine so they didn't replace it but the car mechanic exclude the bell and the chain after that) but what if a fault compressor is the reason.
Which brand to look for if replace needed? More expensive ones like Nissans, Halla...? There are also many cheaper options out there so I don't know if I you overpaying for the brand name or there is a quality difference.
