International car insurance

Hi

Have you ever come across international car insurance ?
ex: http://www.clements.com

These are for people who hold a non-british passport i think.
Their quote is always around 600 pounds irrespective of make of car / engine capacity / make or Non claim status.
Are these genuine and recognized in UK.
Some of my friends have taken it and so far they did not have any issue.

I am a bit reluctant to change from my tesco insurance even though it costs twice as much as this.
