I think not. I believe the only things the car's USB socket will recognise are iPods and memory sticks. It's not as versatile as the USB socket on a computer. I have a 2010 EX and it won't recognise my HTC phone as an external device if I connect it to the USB socket, though my computer does.
The previous owner of my car had a Parrot Bluetooth device fitted to the car and wired into the audio system (it's still there and I use it sometimes). I presume they wouldn't have done that if they could have just plugged something into the USB socket.
