I just thought I would keep this one running . . . . .

My Jazz is about to reach another milestone this weekend, 123456 miles.
I've now passed 234567 miles . . . . . and blown my first headlight bulb  ;D

@Ozzie
Thank you! I must admit that your posts and your 200K+ miles car encouraged me to consider Jazz Hybrid.
I wish you that the second car serves you as well as first Jazz and many happy learner drivers.
I bottled it and pulled out of the deal. my cars heating now works, and we have moved house this year, so need the money for the house really. Cheers !

Good choice, and an excellent review, lets hope you have many worry free miles ahead of you.

Pleased it's OK, to be frank if I was taking lessons wearing a coat, hat & gloves I'd be a bit miffed but I guess bodies warm a car pretty well.

Pupils were great and dressed accordingly, Examiners weren't quite so accommodating, but thankfully that's all in the past now, and just to make sure I will have a spare car in a few days.

Thanks again !

UPDATE ON THE UPDATE
Following minor surgery, I have had the garage call . . . . evidently I bought the wrong part, as its the mirror image of what was needed, so maybe the part was taken from a left hand drive car, however the garage has taken the housing apart and fitted the interior in to the old housing . . . . and it works, we are packing heat !!

THANKS TG and AUNTYNEDDY

Have you considered a Jazz Hybrid, 101 bhp and 55+mpg.

Mine has over 230,000 miles on it, so reliability is good. Try it, you might like it !

UPDATE
Armed with the excellent replies by TG and AuntyNeddy, I went in to the local Honda dealership and asked them about fixing the issue. Apparently I may have ordered the wrong part, as the part numbers don't match, but evidently they don't always as its a non-Honda part. They say its 57 to fit the part which is due Thursday or Friday, so its booked in for Tuesday. If the part is non-compatible its 105 for the Honda part, so fingers crossed it may be fixed soon !
Thanks again guys !

Honda Jazz Mk2 2008-2015 / Buying another Hybrid !
« on: November 08, 2017, 07:12:40 PM »
My current car has now reached 233,000 miles and the heater has packed up. I was quoted 600 to get it fixed by a local auto electrician. Today I called them to proceed and fix it, and they have backed down saying that they aren't sure they can fix it, and I should pass the job to Honda.
Meantime a fellow driving instructor has put their Hybrid up for sale, like mine a 2011 model, but the HX trim in blue with black leather interior, and of course it comes with dual controls fitted (worth 500).
So the plan is to run the HX over the winter months and my current car during the summer months, we soldier on !

I'm now mega-confused, a fellow driving instructor is selling a Hybrid HX in blue, so I am tempted to buy it, travelling 110 miles to see it mid-week . . . . mine is staying though, I am going to run the two of them :)

The car is realistically only worth 2000 now so I will keep it going for the time being. If I can't cope without a heater I will buy another car and keep this one as a spare, I am determined to run it to the end.
Yesterday was far too cold for comfort, 9 degrees outside, but felt colder inside the car, so I am looking at getting the heater fixed, the 600 is going to hurt but still less than buying a newer car. Fingers crossed they can fix it.

I get 37,500 miles from the front tyres, and 75,000 miles from the rears. I am now on my 4th pair of rear tyres, just turned 231,000 miles  :D :D :D
That is great, but I bet you don't get quite the same value for money on your clutches with all those hill starting, kerb crawling, three point turning trainees!
My Jazz is a hybrid, so its automatic, no clutch . . . . got this game sussed  :D
