Title: Honda Fit insurance
Post by: guest6709 on March 17, 2017, 02:12:31 PM
First time owner of an imported vehicle (UK based).

Can anyone recommend any competitive insurance brokers for a Honda Fit. Only non-standard thing would be above average mileage limit, no claims, no convictions, etc.

Interesting- how did you come about buying your Fit?

With regards to insurance, I would try the likes of Greenlight and Sky Insurance (not the Sky TV guys)

I've used them when I had my modded EP3 and have heard members of the DC5 and FD2 forum using the above.

Bought the car from an import specialist.

Will give the companies you mentioned a call (can't believe this can't yet be done online in this day and age), see how it goes. Thanks.

I would have thought you could get a quote from any of the major insurance companies who all have on-line facilities.
Put 'car insurance for Honda Fit' into a search engine and see what comes up.
Also 'Adrian Flux' is a sponsor of this forum, look under Forum headings.

No, regular insurance companies online search facilities don't know what a Honda Fit is, especially one fitted with the 1.5 litre engine, which was only available in Japan.

Got covered very reasonably (compares with Jazz quotes) by Brentacre who were recommended by Adrian Flux (who couldn't provide a quote, possibly due to the mileage I'm doing). Policy is with Highway, part of Liverpool Victoria.

Hi,
I'm surprised we couldn't offer you some kind of price even if you are a higher mileage user. I would really appreciate it if you could PM me your details when you have a moment just so I can double check.
Regards,
Dan.

Dan,

I've got a policy sorted now but will make a point of ringing you again when it comes around to renewal time.
