Weird road dirt accumulation patterns on rear doors.
« on: February 12, 2017, 09:04:14 AM »
In last few weeks (perhaps more winter road dirt) I have noticed weird road dirt accumulations on the rear doors on both sides, see photo.

The door fit seems fine, but it must be some kind of aerodynamic effect.

Anyone else noticed this? Of course my car colour doesn't help!

Mine does that,  I have had similar accumulations of of road dirt on other cars. I also get dirt stripes on the bonnet, front wings, and door mirrors.

Just come back from a trip and parked next to a white Escort with same pattern!

I never noticed this dirt pattern on my Jazz but what I did notice, when I came to wash the car in the spring, is how dirty Sunset Orange can get without looking very dirty. The brownish orange is a very practical colour (unlike the blue on my HR-V which shows up a mere trace of dirt).
