Personally I would get a spare tyre instead!
Do you mean a spare wheel?
I don't want to carry an extra wheel in my boot, the suspension is harsh enough

If the added weight of a spare wheel makes that much of a difference to your suspension then I think you may have a problem. The car is designed to carry 5 adults!
My local tyre depot told me that in 90% of cases, they are unable to repair punctures that have been "repaired" with "Gunk"
Just reviving older thread rather than starting a new one, I carry one of these on my motorbike, and if I am going on holiday in the car I move it from under the motorbike seat and into car glove box. It uses a mushroom shaped plug that is applied from outside the tyre, only thing you need is a pair of pliers to remove the nail or screw. You can get the kit with or without the CO2 cylinders, ( may not need them for a car if you have a pump) but for as motorbike with no pump they are required.https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Motorcycle-Tubeless-Tyre-Puncture-Repair-Kit-Stop-Go-Pocket-Tyre-Plugger-CO2-/131314357735?redirect=mobile
