I too have heavy-duty jump leads, the super flexible variety. I have never needed to use them. I don't even carry them in the car! Got them when I had my automatics.

Lol I already have jump leads.
Normally when I work (virus permitting) I'm up 3am. The likelyhood of getting a jump start at that time is zero.

After that I might take off the battery positive connector and leave it.
Be aware that disconnecting the battery may cause loss of data, such as radio/nav codes.
