Title: Paint
Post by: DJTHP on December 06, 2023, 10:26:47 PM
Hello I'm new , just wondered is there any way of restoring faded red paint on Jazz SE idsi 04 ? My Jazz is nearly 20 years old with 94./000 on the clock . I've tried several ways including t cut and macquires. It's a real shame as it's only the metal work that is faded and almost looks pink ,I may just wrap it . Any advice anyone?

Have you tried Mcquires Ultimate compound/polish /wax kit?

It worked a treat on my Milano Red TypeR.

A machine polish will do it, or mop as it's known. Youtube has heaps of how to videos on the subject.

Not something I've ever done, so no pointers sorry. Red paint is the worst for fade though.

Red is a problem shade & prone to weather on most cars, if I were you leave as it is and regard the paintwork as patina finish.
