New tyres - Jazz 2007
« on: February 17, 2014, 04:07:43 PM »
A couple of weeks ago I had all 4 tyres replaced for Hankook Ventus Prime 2 XL and have so far been very pleased with them. The most immediate thing I noticed was how quiet they were so if anyone is looking for a quiet tyre I can recommend these.

The fitters were also quite impressed as they normally expect to load the alloys with balancing weights but these tyres needed very few/none at all.

It is too early to note wear rate but hopefully they will be good.

How did you get on with the tyres? Did you use the standard size i.e. 185/55/R15?

The original thread is 9 years old.Tyres have moved on a lot in that time  and  The original tyre is probably no longer made. Something with a similar name may still be sold but unlikely its identical.

All season tyres in particular have improved a lot during that time. The best ones now have better grip, lower noise and longer tread life than you might expect.      Personally I'd stick to original tyre size if possible.  Saves any issues with insurers.
