Accessing PCV on 2012 1.3 Hybrid?
« on: June 24, 2022, 03:54:36 PM »
Hi Friends
My:2012 Jazz 1.3 Hybrid, 86,000K km, has never had the pcv valve cleaned. I see on diagrams where it is SUPPOSED to be, IE front, under area of #4 spark plug, but not only can I not see it, I have no idea how I would get my hand in there, let alone a pliers to remove a clip or a wrench to remove it! Is it better accessible from bottom with plastic shield lowered? Thanks.
Jeff

This will help you locate it.

Not your model but the pvc valve is in the same place. Look for the plastic yellow flange under your intake manifold.

Update: It seems my pcv is much deeper in under the intake manifold than on the 1.5. Here is a picture of the hose that goes from pcv (green paint dabbed on it) but as you can see, my cell camera could not capture the other end. My cheapie USB 'borodcope' also was not clear, but as far as I can tell, the hose meets a black flange, not a yellow pcv. Any advice? One source seems to indicate you have to move intake manifold! Hoe not...
