New Crosstar arrived but is something missing?

My insurer replaced my Crosstar, which was written off after a head-on collision.  The new (pre registered) car arrived on a trailer, but there is virtually no petrol in it according to the petrol gauge, the warning light and the computer.  I hope I can make it to the nearest petrol station-at least the hybrid battery is charged up. Can I start and drive the car ob battery power like this or does the petrol engine needs to start and run for a while?

I have had 3 other Hondas, 2 bought new.  They all came with a simulated leather wallet with a manual and a service book to get stamped and service information.  I think there might have been other items in the "leather" wallet, like cards with a radio code and a key code card.  All I got was the owner's guide, one paper card with the key code on it and a little plastic tag attached to one key with a 4 digit code and barcode on it-what is this please?  Should a Honda come with the "leather" wallet and service book?  Am I missing anything?

The latest cars dont come with a wallet , paper manual or service book.  Many other makes have car have gone digital as well.

With regards to remaining fuel  ,its arriving on a trailer could really leave you stranded.  Depends how far to the nearest  service station and how lucky you feel.     Literally running out of petrol could have consequences beyond just being inconvenient, or whether or not the batteries are getting charged.       If its more than a mile  to the filling station ,which might be possible in EV,  I'd play safe and put some fuel in from a can.

I really wonder why a dealer who delivers a new car does so with an almost completely empty tank.
When we picked up our new Jazz a year ago, 2.5 liters (half a gallon) of petrol was poured into the tank from a can by the dealer and we were told to fill up immediately on the way home.
(Of course a year ago petrol was quite a bit cheaper...)

When I collected my new Jazz in March 2022 it had a full tank of petrol, I was amazed as every other new car I have bought had at best 1/4 tank full.

When I collected my car from the dealer in October,  southern England was at the height of fuel shortage due to a shortage of tanker drivers and panic buying.  (many drivers had been EU citizens)    I was really concerned I might not be given  enough fuel to get home. A brief lesson in range anxiety.     Fortunately the dealer had queued for over an hour  (wearing out my car ) at the only filling station in town that had fuel and put a reasonable amount in. sort of full, but room for improvement. 
Just as well  because I only  saw one  station with fuel on my way home  and that had a mile long queue at just one pump.   
Luckily I noticed the queue  had been avoiding the other pumps because they had big labels on the nozzle that appeared to show they were not in use.   I looked closer and saw it was just a label reminding folk it was E10  , and was able to avoid the queue and top up immediately. (panic buying   )  The  queue soon learned their mistake  !    It pays  not to follow the herd.

I got a proper wallet with full manual etc with my Crosstar which was delivered in January.  The manual is also available as a PDF online. I think mine had about 10 litres of fuel in which I queried as two previous cars (BMW and Skoda) both came with a full tank.  No radio code - not sure such things are needed now.

I know recent Civics have the radio coded into the ECU.

The infotainment systems are so integrated into the car and individual   there is no longer a need to code a radio to stop  some oik nicking it  for his Ford escort.   Especially as there are so many 'experts' able to decode things like this on the internet.   Most of them already have better radios  than you anyway and probably already deaf.

Thanks.  What then do you think is the significance of the 4 digits and bar code on the plastic tag on one of the keys?  I scanned the bar code and my phone app simply showed another 4 digit number.

I just bought my EX with a full tank of fuel! No wallet anymore, gone green with just a paper folder with receipts  and key code etc and manual seperately.

I remember my 8th generation Civic that came with virtually a wide suitcase full of car wash. leather cleaner, cloths, polishes of paintwork, plastic, wheels, sponges, chamois etc etc and a big fold out wallet for the paperwork. By the time of the 9th generation it was a simple cardboard box with two cans inside  :'(

When I picked up my Lexus IS200 from Guildford it was in a sort of one car only side greenhouse. Fully protected from the elements. On the passenger seat was all sorts of goodies.

As soon as they detected the engine firing up the doors opened and off you went.
