End if an Era.
« on: August 27, 2021, 05:50:48 PM »
Well, that is my marathon running over and done with. I finally handed back the keys to my flat in Kirkcaldy and left the promised land for Midlothian. I have been driving back and forward for 15 years now. Initially weekly and increasing until the start of this year when it was daily.
I am looking forward to getting the car washed and valeted (knowing my luck the rain will start tomorrow) then making a start on the bodywork. I found a 10" orbital polisher in the garage so I will have to order up a bonnet for it. I have also found axle stands and ramps tucked away beside the mouse droppings and cobwebs. There is even an engine hoist in the garage. Sorting out the garage is my next plan though Mrs Jocko wants me in the garden! I wonder who will win.

At least the Jazz has served you well on your travels over the last few years, time for it to enjoy a bit of pampering.

Good luck in your new location and hopefully once Mrs.J’s immediate demands have been met, you can enjoy a more relaxed lifestyle.

I don't know about you but I won't be moving again for a very long time.
My next move will be in a wooden box.  :)

I don't know about moving I'd just like a holiday.

I think we've all felt the same after this last 18 months.

We've just come back from the holiday we booked back in 2019, it was cancelled last year and we stood on for this year. It did feel pretty good to get away from the same four walls, what with one thing and another.

Some people would love to have four walls to get away from, 'when we were young we used to live in a cardboard box at the bottom of a lake '   ;D
Some people will only consider you an expert if they agree with your point of view or advice,  when you give them advice they don't like they consider you an idiot

The Chateau de Chasselas is quite passable, isn't it?

Today I took a run to the local Asda and B&Q. Took a long way round to avoid roadworks. According to my ScanGauge, I covered 9.3 miles at an average speed of 19.1 mph (max 57 mph) and 44 mpg for the trip.
Welcome to my new world!
