Honda Jazz 2005 Fuel Filters
« on: September 06, 2020, 09:54:39 PM »
Hello I have a left hand drive Jazz. The engine struggles in low gear especially going up hill. I have had the coils change. Can you tell me how many fuel filters does the car have and were are they located. I know of one under the centre column but that seems a to be the filter holder. Does a small filter fit inside. Thank You

I think that's the only one (under the centre console that houses the gearlever), its a lifetime filter that only needs changing if it goes wrong, its a strange looking plastic filter, there are videos on youtube showing you how to change it.

The fuel filter is mounted in the top of the fuel tank, beside the level sensor. It is a pure pig to change and I have never known anyone that has needed to change it.

The filter is integrated into the fuel pump assembly, situated in the centre of the fuel tank. The replacement filter is a complete fuel pump assembly, minus the actual pump and a few other parts that you have to swap over. As Jocko says, it's a bit of a job to remove, I have a feeling you have to remove one of the front seats to get it out.

To be honest, if you have low fuel pressure, it's more likely to be a failed pump or pressure regulator than the filter. Do it struggle all the time, and if/when the power drops, do you get misfires?
