Title: Honda websites are a let down...
Post by: Jayt43 on October 23, 2021, 06:49:50 AM
Full of broken links, I used to also enjoy the Honda Access website for checking accessory details (particularly to get part numbers). However, now the entire catalogue has been removed, with Honda Access instead directing customers to country specific pages.

On the Honda Hungary website there's also a link to insurance package information (which does not work). My dealer gave me a list of providers and their policies, but with little details of coverage for each one.

Luckily I'm a Honda fan boy and can put up with such inconveniences, but with Honda's European market share having slipped for a decade, they really need to pay attention to such failings.

Have any of you guys found the online "shopping" experience harder than it should be?

What did annoy me was the refusal to allow the black front cup holders into Europe.

We are stuck with the eyesore white ones when the rest of the inside is black.

The black ones are in the UK database with a UK price but Honda Europe say "Not for the European market, order cancelled"

Both are official OEM accessories in Japan!

You could try 'wrapping' them in auto  vinyl wrap. Maybe black or black carbon fibre effect.

I haven't used it yet but I believe the proper wrap  is  low tack and slightly stretchy so it shrinks and moulds itself to the contours. You can probably do the job without needing to detach the moulding. And if you mess it up or dont like the result its easy to remove without leaving  a mess.

I think you can buy small 'off cuts' quite cheaply on ebay etc.

But beware I think some cheaper stuff on offer is little more than sticky back plastic 'fablon'.

Maybe this (https://www.cheesebuerger.de/images/smilie/haushalt/k042.gif)  is then the only option... (Sorry, couldn't find one spraying BLACK)
