Whether we ever get it here is another matter.

Can’t say I’m that impressed with the looks, the civic has been mutating into different kinds of ugly for the past 15 years in my opinion.

I like it, but it is now Accord sized.

I think it looks gorgeous. I always have had a soft spot for big saloons.

It's slightly bigger than the current 10th Gen which is too big for my needs.

In my book it's no longer a Civic but an Accord. The Civic was always a medium hatch.

No good for me as I garage my car and whilst the car would just fit, I'd have to sleep in it or climb out through the hatch.

Yes, definitely an updated accord. Looks like an Audi A6 size wise.

Funny that Honda stopped selling Accord in Britain and Europe because it was too big, and then make the Civic same size  :o

The USA is a much bigger market than Europe and they like everything (except plane seats) to be super-sized. Perhaps something completely new will appear to fill the gap between the Jazz and this beast. I think I read somewhere that the new HR-V uses a new platform which would be the right size to fill that gap.

A fine looking but bigger car.  More for the USA and less so for us and Europe.  I can now perhaps see why the Swindon plant is sadly closing, as I don't see too many being sold here, unlike the current model.

It is strange that Europe does not love Honda's the way Asia and the USA does, given that their cars are on the sporty side.  More obsessed perhaps with electric seats and other superfluous gimmicks that will write a car off earlier than needed.

I agree, the 10th and 11th Gen Civic was/is designed for the US market where they love larger cars.

I don't think a Jazz to Civic midway is needed as the MK4 footprint is almost what older Civic's were anyway.

I am certain the new HR-V is built on the new Jazz platform. In my view, the preference in Europe now is for mid sized SUV shaped vehicles, rather then saloons and coupes like the new Civic appears to be. This is a segment Honda have been in since the late 1990s with the CR-V.

Be interesting to see the HRV footprint.

My absolute red lines are 4300 x 1770

As soon as I saw the pictures I thought Accord like others on here.

Looking at it, it's too big for my needs.

99% of my journeys are just me travelling between Heathrow area and Reading, no luggage so the Jazz will be just fine.

Just waiting to see the MY22 changes then a test June/July hopefully.

The Mk. 4 Jazz / Crosstar boot is relatively small due to the very generous rear seat space but if you can fold down / up one / both of the rear seats then there is loads of baggage space.

Nice looking car. Smoothed out some of the more unusual design elements of the current model. I really do prefer the rear bumper of the new model, a much cleaner look. :D

I shall be looking at one of those when they become available here, come the time to swap my present Civic, I have always preferred mid to large saloons after having owned several Saab turbo vehicles before switching to Honda cars.   :)
