Washer Jets
« on: March 17, 2009, 02:46:52 PM »
Hi

Strange question but why did Honda decide to change the Washer Jet from the "fan" type on the GD models, back to a twin spray ones on the GE??

I liked the fan type so much from the GD Jazz that i ordered some and had them on my Type R.

Having a look now my new car, it seems like the washer jets are hidden within the scuttle and looks hard to gain access to them to change them.

Anyone has any views on this or just not bothered lol

Also, does anyone know how to gain access to the washer jets on the GE??

My wife has just bought a new Jazz, picks it up on Sunday.  Part EXing her old Jazz.
I agree, I like the fan style washer jets, I think they do a better job than two jets.  I wish I had the fan set-up in my car (Jaguar X-Type) and will miss it on her new car, although it is not something we noticed when test driving.

Is it possible to get fan jets for any car?

I believe the washer jets on the new civic are the spray type- think people on the forum I frequent on who has a FN2 Type R says they are the spray type.

Only just noticed that my 18 day old GE has fan washers as opposed jets and they certainly do a good job.
