Final bill was £139.05 inc parts, labour & VAT.

Also included a loan car charge (as my car was not purchased from this dealer!) and about a small charge to re-fit nearside front tyre the correct way round - turns out the tyre centre who replaced my punctured tyre back in Feburary fitted the tyre the wrong way round so it rotates in the wrong direction!  ::)

Try Prestige car servicing on 0800 169 1511, they quoted £119 + vat + £5 (for disposal of old fluids) for a A check. I discovered that the service included picking up and bringing back the car to your home with a full valeting also included.
Futher checking revealed that the service would be handled by Stafford Audi I rang to book in and was quoted £129 for the same all in offer.

My dad always had his cars done at work when he worked at a Rover garage, even though he never owned a Rover.

Hi All,
I am having a type 1 service next week (12500 miles) at a cost of £116 from Barnsley Honda. Their normal price is about £146 but after a bit of haggling i got 20% off.

Don't be afraid to ask for a discount and ring round all the local dealers first asking for their best price, they will usually offer to beat each others price.

Saying that, still a rip off for an oil change!

Regards rob.

1st Service - 2007 Jazz CVT

I emailed several Honda dealers to get their best quotes for a 'while u wait' service for my little used very low 2,000 miles Jazz cvt.   Prices as of Dec 2008.

Dutton Forshaw, Bexleyheath, Kent.  £168.00
Barretts, Canterbury, Kent. £200.00
G&M, Gravesend, Kent. £185.00
Drake & Fletcher, Ashford, Kent. £178.00
Brayley, Grays, Essex.   £80.00 alternative service offer to satisfy Honda warranty conditions.
Newton, South Croydon.  £100.00 reduced from £190.00

Both Brayley and Newton emphasized their quotations were based on my car's absurdly low mileage.

Went with Brayley and the final invoice and service check list showed they completed the 1st year/12.5k miles service.

I have had my Jazz serviced by my small village independent garage. They apply Honda service schedules. Fourth service just completed. No problems. Main Honda dealt with handbrake recall and CVT change of fluid recommended by Honda under extended warranty recently. They know about my servicing arrangements and are quite relaxed about giving a fair trade in for a new Jazz.
I will get my new Lexus serviced locally too. I think main dealer servicing is a rip off.

I've just paid £540 for a 5 year service plan with Honda for my GE Jazz.

I think that's pretty good value for money so went for that rather having to ring around every year and getting the cheapest deal.

What does the £550 cover? Was it with the main Honda dealer?

More details here: http://www.honda.co.uk/cars/owners/partsandservicing/fixedpriceservicing/

5 year servicing plan was never available on 2001-2008 Jazz in the UK, although Honda UK did offer it for free for new cars bought last summer prior to launch of new Jazz.

What I find irritating is that Honda still don't offer a service plan on my 2007 Jazz,Why?

Probably with the dsi engine it would cost quite a bit more to service with 8 spark plugs.
