i would rather have a wolf in sheeps clothing than the other way around, and cars with too much body modification and too little power are just disappointing for everyone.
Some people will only consider you an expert if they agree with your point of view or advice,  when you give them advice they don't like they consider you an idiot

It does look nice, but there ought to be the 1.5 engine fitted, even if it's an option.  The EX model should have a 1.5 engine available too.

Si? There should be a Type R or Type S model!  All other manufacturers in the Jazz segment have either a warm or proper hot hatch as part of their line up.  Honda have definitely missed a trick.  Those types of models broaden the appeal and introduce new people to the marque

I just checked the specs on the US Fit with the 1.5 engine, it does 0-60 in 8.2 seconds, that would do for starters!

A 1.5 (on our UK roads) could be great IMO but, before that, I'd much prefer that the suspension/chassis is improved for uneven and undulating surfaces. Jazz/Fit has a great suspension on smooth and even surfaces (Japan?) but it gets too easily unsettled/untidy/ragged in its handling on less forgiving surfaces.

A 1.5 with no revision to its suspension could be all mouth with no trousers in many typical UK road conditions. If Ford can get it so right with Fiesta... which I think has torsion beam in the rear, too... why not Honda?

As it is, Jazz's ever so sweet manual gearchange and light clutch helps with the lack of power because it's such a pleasure to shift gears. It's a delight to keep it in the powerband. How many cars have such a sweet gearchange? I've never driven one so slick in its action! Mine's a 1.2 ('59 GE model).
