At least it is thought it will retain the Magic Seats.
Their mock up looks quite good. They must reckon it is pretty near the mark. A case of Evolution rather than Revolution.

I hope there'll be a version without the "rugged" add-ons and roof rails, which don't appeal to me.

Also they add cost but reduce fuel efficiency!

The new hybrid will be a manual?

No, not manual, it will be eCVT same as CR-V hybrid

I don't think it will need any sort of gearing, manual or CVT.  The electric motors will deal with all lower speeds without gearing, with the engine as a generator, and at higher speeds the engine will join the transmission via a direct drive to the wheels.

I'm under the impression that the hybrid CRV uses Honda's i-MMD https://www.honda.co.uk/cars/new/coming-soon/hybrid.html which does without a traditional gearbox and the Jazz will probably have a scaled-down version of the same system.

Furthermore, for any hybrid system to work efficiently, it needs to have control over how to behave in response to the current situation and driver inputs. Providing a manual gearbox would make this task much more difficult.

It will use the Honda i-MMD, as John says.
