« on: December 19, 2019, 09:36:17 PM »
Has anyone fitted a Nextbase dash cam to a Mk 3 Jazz??

If so, which Nextbase model?

Any problems?

Yes
It was a load of rubbish never worked properly and the retailer was worse than useless, got that fed up with it I just threw it out.
Bought a Motorola one a quarter of the price and it works perfectly.

I'm afraid I can't agree with trebor1652, I have had 2 Nextbase 402 cams (front and rear) fitted it my car for at least the last 4 years and they have both have worked perfectly.

I have a Nextbase 512G, fitted now for three and a half years. It has worked flawlessly. It has since been superseded by the 512GW. Here is an example of the video it shoots.

Yes same here - 512GW no problems in over 2 years

All Nextbase models have now grown  '2'  eg 322, 422, 522 and 622 to show they are bluetooth and 'Alexa' compatible I believe...

Fitted a 312GW twelve months ago, hard wired it in, not a moments trouble with it, would thoroughly recommend a Nextbase.

522GW front and rear set fitted over a month ago. Pain in the a** to route the rear cam cable but otherwise so far so good :)
I hooked it up to fusebox so it turns in key position I

Is the rear camera attached to the rear window?  If so, does it resist falling off with all the opening and shutting of the hatch?

My camera drops off the front screen every month or two without any movement.

For adhesive mount try this contact at Nextbase in Caerphilly welsh wales

fao Ash  Support@nextbase.co.uk

If no Joy try one of these....linked below

I have one in wifes Jazz,  you will need to use the existing stem with ball on the end with click in mount as this is only the base.  When I bought the 512GW it came with suction base and adhesive base,  I used the adhesive base in Civic as placement is so critical and i had to stick it on the area with black dots on behind the mirror - but I contacted nexbase to get another adhesive mount for Jazz and they told me to contact their Welsh office and they couldn't help - may still be worth contacting them on email above though.

Re, mounting the rear camera, I agree mounting to the rear screen is not a good idea, due to vibration etc when closing the boot lid.
I have bolted my camera to the rear parcel shelf, as per attached photo and the power is taken from the power socket in the centre arm rest. I needed to use a spacer to raise the height to get an adequate view, within the wiped area of the screen.
I accept the limitation of driving without the parcel shelf in place for any reason, but I can live with that
