Jazz GD towing a caravan
« on: July 31, 2009, 03:04:19 PM »
Hello

As my 2005 Sport CVT came with a Honda tow-bar fitted I have turned to wondering if it would be possible to tow a small caravan, camping trailer or teardrop trailer with the car. With retirement coming up shortly this might be a good hobby for my wife and myself as we both like exploring places.

Does anybody have experience of actually towing a caravan with this car or know of any websites with information particularly about the towing capabilities of the Jazz?

Thanks in advance.

Hello, just registered.

We tow an Eriba Puck with our 08, and previously with 04 jazz with no problems.
MPG averages 39-42.
How you would get on with CVT I can't comment.

William.

Many thanks for your input, William. It's good to hear that in principal the Jazz can tow a 'van. I looked at the Eriba Puck and thought it wonderfully well made and appointed except for the lack of a bathroom which, at our age, is an important consideration. Another caravan that looks suitable is the Dethleffs Campy. German, pricey but with the necessary loo.
