Front Wishbone
« on: March 19, 2010, 06:37:58 PM »
Hi, I am new on this forum, I own a '54 reg SE.  After running over a pot-hole, I noticed a knocking from the driver's side front wheel area.  I have checked underneath and noticed that the rear bush on the wishbone is loose and this is where the noise is coming from.

I have now got a new wishbone, and was wondering how hard it is to fit, is this area sprung loaded or is it safe to remove without special tools?

Any info would be appreciated.

Many thanks.

As far as I can tell it isn't spring loaded looking in the Haynes manual. It gives it a three spanner rating as fairly difficult suitable for the competent DIY mechanic.

I would suggest getting the Haynes manual for this one.
