Sensible 16.5 cm speakers upgrade
« on: April 24, 2020, 03:09:31 PM »
Anybody have any suggestions on what to choose as upgrade speakers?
I'm getting adapter rings and putting in something better than OEMs but not quite sure on what to choose, don't want to overspend and the head unit itself is decent enough.
Thinking around £60-70 for 4 speakers should do the trick :)

Are you sure its 16.5" and not 16.5 cm you want? You could stick a big woofer in the boot, but that's about it.

That's pretty exhaustive. The only thing I'd add is that someone who did a major soundproofing job mentioned that damping on the door panels improved sound quality. Might be worth it while you've got the door panels off. Sorry I can't find a link.

Or is it? What do you think?
