Title: CD working but no radio mk1 Jazz
Post by: guest7249 on November 20, 2017, 08:10:15 PM
Hi all

First post on here, the common fault of; radio faulty but cd working.
Reading around its the ic502 which needs to be replaced.
Is there anyone on here who has had actual repair done what's involved exactly?

Tried a few local electronic shops around my way but they won't touch it, saying it's easier to fit a second hand unit. Might have to do this (will I need a radio code) if the unit is from another car?

Ideally I'd rather get my unit repaired with this part, I've done all the hard work and got it out, even removed the cd unit but hesitant to go further.

Anyone in Lancashire that can do this.
eBay seller offers a repair service in Cumbria.

Also where could I get a fascia from if I wanted to fit a aftermarket single din.

TIA

After postage hassles, you'd probably be better off with a swap instead of repair.  Single/double DIN fascias are available via eBay or Aliexpress but be careful about bezel dimensions, best bet might be to enable the aux socket on your replacement unit and feed it with Bluetooth from your phone.
