Irregular mirror motor
« on: July 17, 2019, 05:52:13 PM »
I rarely use the  power motors of the wing mirrors of my two year old Jazz. On starting the ignition today the passenger mirror started moving in an outward direction coming to rest at an obtuse angle, the driving mirror remaining stationary. On pressing the park button they both moved to the park position and returned to their standard position when further triggered.  Any suggestions of the cause.

Any suggestions of the cause.

Some one had pushed on the mirror and dislocated the turn mechanism, it then operates when igniton is turned on to try and return it, but as the mirror is already out it will turn it further, but needs to come back to the folded position to re-engage which you achieve by using the button, I expect there were some fairly loud clicks as it re-engaged.
