What is this component called? (jack installation socket)
« on: July 31, 2024, 02:57:52 PM »
The AUX port on my mother's Honda Jazz is broken.
Now I would like to replace this.

Does anyone know how I can find this exact part on the internet?
I've searched everything and can only find similar but not suitable replacement parts.
(I realize that it is a 3.5mm jack connection, but I need the exact same one as a spare part)

Thank you!

I know this  post is quite old ,and my suggestions may be too late.

You can buy universal 3.5mm panel mount  jack sockets quite cheaply  that fit through a 6mm hole drilled in the dashboard  . You may be able to install one of  these somewhere  convenient  and discrete   and connect it to the radio remotely  using longer wires  soldered to the terminals on the back of the circuit board. You may be able to leave the broken socket in place if its not causing a short circuit. You could probably experiment to see if the arrangement works before drilling a hole.

Alternatively try googling the part number of the radio.  Someone may be offering a broken radio  cheap for spare parts or repair .

I will fix that dripping tap.  No need to keep reminding me every 3 months.
