But that is only available on the Crosstar.
True. Fortunately that's the version which most interests me as it claims to have a slightly higher ride height than the normal Jazz (one of the attractions of my current HR-V).
Actually, this is very firs think I’ve found out after getting in to Jazz MK4. Driver seat can be set lower than in model MK3, and actually I like this, I like to seat lower. First difference and first thumb up for me.

Just noticed yesterday while cleaning the car, that Jazz has rear feet vent, which helps a lot in heating the back passenger, a big thumb up as this feature is almost disappeared in the B segment.

...which helps a lot in heating the back passenger...

For a moment I read that as back passage. My back passage has it's own hot air based heating system built in.

I'm sorry but English is not my mother tongue, so I couldn't catch this pun.

My understanding is that the new transmission is NOT a CVT but something completely different. I gather the driving experience will be more like that of an electric car most, if not all of which, have a single reduction gear.

In short they are claiming a significant technological advance from Toyota's system.
That's right, but it depends how you define the word "transmission".  There will be no mechanical gear ratio changes.

Long, long ago, questions about the Honda E-CVT appeared here. For those interested in this "transmission" I found this (long......) video "Understanding the Honda Hybrid E-Drive" by Professor John Kelly (WeberAuto).

Enjoy!

Just a random thought and almost certainly not original but are we on the cusp of seeing manual transmissions start a long decline and, to be fair, CVT's and conventional automatics?

You are correct,  certain car makers have dropped manual transmissions, Mercedes for one,  but nothing to boast about for transmission innovation, just the same old "slushmatic" torque convertors and complex  multi-speed epicyclic gearboxes they have been using for decades, just a bit more sophistication in the control electronics  and so many gears the vehicle struggles to decide which gear to be in , at least that is my impression when I ride in a Mercedes taxi,  When I work book me a  taxi I'm happier when a Prius arrives

Fully agree, I've yet to drive an 'automated manual' at parking speeds that can be controlled properly.
Let's be careful out there !

I believe the SR has the same padded ‘leather’ interior as the EX model, just does without the leather steering wheel and gear selector. The EX also has plated interior door  releases and heating rotary controls, which I think also applies to the SR model, whereas the interior door pulls on the SE aren’t plated and the heater rotary controls are white plastic. This may also be the case for the face air vent adjustment levers.

These parts are the same across all the Jazz mk4 derivatives. The dash top is hard plastic, with a padded dash front panel on SR and EX (hard plastic front dash on SE). The dash top is a large horizontal surface, so it doesn’t particularly detract from the perceived quality and might not be appropriate to surface this area in slush moulded foam.
The front and rear door cards are also hard plastic, with padded inserts and armrests on the front doors. There’s also a couple of ‘leather’ pads either side of the centre console.
The boot sides and rear seat backs are trimmed in carpeted material, which I prefer to the plastic trims applied to some boot sides, which are prone to scratches.

Maybe visit a showroom and sit in one, poke about, see what you think. We are all different, have different seating positions, etc.

I've made 2 previous mistakes not test driving so I make sure I do now.
