Infotainment dust under LCD screen
« on: June 19, 2019, 09:55:08 PM »
Hi all,

I purchased a Honda Jazz SE 1.3 (mk 3 2015) a few days ago and I have an issue with the infotainment screen in that I can see dust underneath the screen in daylight and visible when in use.

Once you notice it you forever see it so my question is whether there is a way to blow it, suck it or somehow extract it out?

Thanks in advance.

As with all screens, you can't just blow the dust away or vacuum it away "in situ" - if it were that easy to do, it would be just as easy for more dust to enter.

I don't know how to remove the screen but that is the best way to do it properly. Just as you would with say an ipad/tablet, you need to remove the screen to get to the dust. You can then blow the dust off, or use good sticky tape (one that doesn't leave residue) to remove it.
