@culzean: I wouldn't be surprised. I also sat in the insight and that was even worse (no wonder they're changing it completely on the new civic and dropping the central bar altogether......they must've realised it was a poor move).

Anyway, I just went to collect it today.... love the "new car smell" and the "0000005" miles on the clock Cheesy:

Front spots/fogs were the optional extra. They installed it brilliantly too, changing the indicator stalk to new ones rather than giving me a separate switch for them somewhere.

I'm glad I went for Storm Grey as it looks nice on this imo

The ES spec has indicators on the wing mirrors

...and they fold when parking

I also like the clear rears. It's nice and roomy in the back too

Tail lights/brakes are LED ones which was a nice surprise Smiley

A few extra things as standard include VSA (stability control) and audio controls on the steering wheel. I also like the orange-red glow of the dash Cheesy

I don't think I'll change the HU as I like the standard fit look and sound. I also like the fact that we have recirc/fresh air change as a button rather than a slider (I hate sliders 'cos I always manage to break 'em Wink)

Overall I'm v happy and now just have to remember to drive extra carefully for the first 600-1000miles or so Smiley.

Nice. Storm Silver is a nice colour - easy to keep clean but with a bit more 'kick' to it then normal silver.

Is that Crawley Honda?

Hi to the forum.
How much did you pay for fog lamps? I'm getting them from Japan right now for 100€ (should be OEM with E-mark). By my honda dealer costs 560€ (including installation).

Hi.
The OEM ones I've seen on ebay for about £100. However, they come with a little switch which you place somewhere in the dash to turn them on/off (I have a blank next to my VSA switch which would've worked).
However, the reason that Honda charge so much is that they instead replace the whole indicator stalk with one that includes "front fog" options.....which is why it's a £460 optional extra ....but inside the cabin it looks like it's factory fit (which it is).
A tad expensive but worth it for me  Smiley.

@ RichardA, yep, that's the one  Smiley (they call themselves Gatwick Honda now and have moved from the roundabout near the hospital to near B&Q and the M23 exit).
I'm quite lazy so "easy to keep clean" sounds good to me  Grin

Hello,

Just got my jazz 1.4 style mode last Friday. The jazz feels solid. Fuel economy after 300km 5.7 liter/100km. Has anyone some good advise for the first 1000km?

greetings

Welcome Genisis Smiley

Gaffer...thought so. I spotted the GU prefix on the numberplate but I know it wasn't Collins or Bexhill Honda.and didn't look like Brighton Honda. I always thought Crawley Honda were near to the big ASDA store but I noticed they had gone last time I went to Crawley (last summer)...now I know where to.

Well, we've done it. Last week we drove 1010 miles in our three year old CR-V ES 2.2 i-CTDi. A lovely car that's been very, very good to us.

Downsizing from two cars to one, we've traded in the CR-V and today took delivery of our new Jazz Ex.  The Micra still has to go.

First impression of the Jazz? It's going to be OK, I like it. And the savings in tax, insurance and fuel will be very useful. Trying to impress, the Jazz number plate has my initials!

Page 264 of the UK Owners Manual 'Break in Period' covers this. For the first 1,000 km (625 miles): Avoid full-throttle starts and rapid acceleration. Avoid hard braking for the first 300 km (200 miles). Do not change the oil until the scheduled maintenance time. Do not tow a trailer.

Hope this helps

You've Gotta Larf!
On arriving home from picking it up I backed our new Sherbet Blue EX into our garage. My other half went indoors.
Right, now to make adjustments to my driving position: steering wheel, seat hight, back rest etc. That done I popped into the back seat to see how much space my 6 foot frame has left for passengers. It's a bit tight so I need to try putting the driver's seat forward a little - except that the door won't open: The garage has left the child lock on!
There's little space between the front seats for clambering forward, so what can I do? Fortunately my mobile phone was in my pocket.
I rang home. "Could you let me out of the car please." Yes I did get ticked off - but, honestly, I wasn't playing with my new toy. My driving position is important. Isn't it?

Hi one and all,
I think Honda are keeping no stock these days and are making cars to order. I decided it would be rude not to take up the scrappage offer so 14th Feb I ordered a Storm Grey EX-T (I-shift). With the MOT expiring on the old S reg Civic on Feb 27th I resigned myself to waiting for the car to be delivered to PDI on 15th March. I was told on the 16th March that it could be another 2 weeks yet Shocked Sad
Anyone else suffering from this problem ?

I put pen to paper and contacted Honda UK letting them know of my extra expenses travelling by train and the extra 2 hours a day on the journey time. Let's see what they offer Roll Eyes. The local guys at Springfield Honda Scotswood road have been mint. Got an email to say they are organising anInsight for me next week Grin so things are looking up a bit and I can always purloin the Mem Sahib's GD 1.4CVT

Can anyone give me any feedback as to how good the SSD Sat Nav performs ?

Regards
Ken

The problem might be demand. We got our Jazz this week. And as I drove in tonight I noticed a neighbour two doors away getting out of a new Sherbet Blue EX. The market appears to be picking up.

If the number of new Jazzes I see driving around is repeated across the country I think demand for Jazz is outstripping supply - especially now it is made in the UK. Most people are patriotic when it comes to British jobs, and until the Jazz was built in UK most of the scrappage allowance (UK taxpayers money) was flowing out to France and Italy on their cheap and nasty small cars.

People are cottoning on that the older people know something when they buy Hondas and lets face it the Jazz is pretty easy on the eye, and on the pocket in the long run.

Its not a Ford (Fix Or Repair Daily) or a Fiat (Fix It Again Tomorrow).

Welcome Katiekoo Smiley

Culzean....I think the main beneficiary of the scrappage scheme were the Koreans.

Interesting....the Hyundai i10 is made in India and the Citroen C1/Peugeot 107 and Fiat Panda/500 are made in Eastern Europe.

Hi, Guys
I am taking delivery of my Jazz EX on Thursday, after 5 years with an auto Civic( and nothing but a replacement battery and a couple of tyres in the way of expense) I have taken the plunge with my fist ever new car.....apart from my 1974 Mini I have not even had a current production car Sad
According to the dealer there were 97 left in the country. I was tempted with the Storm Grey but opted for the Cerulean Blue as I could get it quicker
