How do I turn off the service notifier please?
« on: March 18, 2017, 07:56:06 PM »
Away from home and don't have the Owners manual with me. I'm sure it's possible to turn off the service reminders, managed it on the 2008. Can't imagine it's changed on the 2012 - but I can't remember how I did it.

Turn the ignition switch to the ON (II) position, one position before starting engine.
Press the select/reset knob repeatedly until the engine oil life is displayed.
Press the select/reset knob for about 10 seconds.
The engine oil life and the maintenance item code(s) will blink.
Press the select/reset knob for another 5 seconds.
The maintenance item code(s) will disappear, and the engine oil life will reset to ‘‘100.’’
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

All information is taken from the Honda Jazz owners manual.

Thanks! No really. Thanks! You set me on the right path.....

I followed the instructions implicitly but they didn't work.

Found the item in the handbook and it is exactly as you describe.

However, one vital step is wrong and a second step is missing.

There is no flashing after 10 seconds........

Instead an alternative service light comes on.

You need to select the upper 'recycle' type graphic at this point, using the 'I' information button, THEN do the 5 second press to activate that option, which resets the service interval to 360 days.

I 'can' carry on doing this every year but at some stage I will probably get the SRVS permanently disabled by the Honda garage and just stick with annual services at each MOT.
