prices for selling my jazz
« on: August 28, 2016, 09:46:28 AM »
Hi Guys
I have a jazz ex auto cvt in bronze 2011 but understand that it is the 2012 model and has 20,000 in the clock, has FSH, would anyone have any idea what it might be worth to sell privately and what I should expect selling via dealer in part exchange for the new Jazz.
Many thanks.

My father-in-law just paid £5,500 for a late 2011 SE (ETA: it's a CVT) model with 19,000 miles in a private sale so I guess the EX would be worth a little more.  I haven't studied Jazz prices but generally one snag with buying the top model is once they get to a few years old all the trim versions are worth similar amounts.

PX value is impossible to say - last time we got a big discount on the new Jazz we were buying but of course that meant they only offered a basic trade price for ours - in fact they used WBAC to value it, then gave is £50 more.  I felt a bit insulted by this process, but overall the deal was OK (not great though).

if you do an online quote for car insurance for Compare the Meerkat, it will give you the value of the car. A useful starting point

My wife bought a mint 2010 1.4 manual EX early last year for 6K with 21k on the clock. I would think that it would be closer to 5K now.

CVT's tend to have a slight premium over manuals and the low mileage is also a plus.
My Jazz is a similar age but covered more than double that mileage and still under the UK average mileage.
2011 1.4 EX CVT in Metalic Mushroom (Urban Titanium).
