Farewell

Just wanted to say Bye to everyone here.
It's been fun, but I thought time was about right to move on from Honda and my ES Jazz to something else:

It's a "used approved" Audi 2.0 TFSI Quattro Black Edition. Additions over my old jazz are full leather interior, satnav, (opening) sunroof, Xenons, 4WD.
On the downside, it's DSG so I'm not sure how i'll cope without a good ol' manual gearshift, but the flappy paddles might be a good middle ground.
It also has the Bose speaker upgrade in which apparently only the sub is a bit crap (so I will take the Alpine out of the Jazz and into this one).

Anyhoo, this is a great forum for Jazz owners and who knows, if in the future Honda decide to do a 200bhp 4WD "Mugen Type R" version for the UK I might defect back and see you all again :).

Until then........Ciao.

Looks very nice, don't know if you've noticed but the steering wheel is bent!! Seriously, enjoy the car and maybe after a while you can update on the DSG.

Once you have settled into your new car please come back and give us your opinion on the DGS gearbox.

Thanks everyone.
Yep, I'll report back on the DSG. I plan on using paddle shift so just bought some paddle shift extenders from amazon in advance.
Insurance sorted too so now just waiting till the weekend.

Thanks for your input over the years and enjoy your new car.

Is this the same engine as in the Mk5 Golf GTi?

Same engine as the mk6 golf GTi - different running gear (2010+ A3s had completely new ECU and turbos as well - a simple remap will take mine to 266bhp and 307lbft torque but that's for next year after my warranty has run out ;)).
Am also happy to report back that the DSG gearbox is smooth as butter :) with seamless shifts whether in auto or semi-auto mode (flappy paddle).

Overall, cabin is a nice place to be - the main thing I'm losing is the sense of space I got with the Jazz (along with the actual space I had with those magic seats).

Nice new car, enjoy it!
I think alot of people on here would like a 'hot Jazz' 8)
Not sure about the Austin Allegro steering wheel though?

I had a (company) Allegro once. Once I had sanded down the steering wheel to remove the sharp surplus bits of plastic (!), it was quite pleasant to use it...
