I think this just pure conjecture and incidentally completely off the original post.

All these false alarms should be ringing alarm bells (pun intended) in the minds of people that think autonomous cars

1. are a good idea
2. will ever be a reality.

The road environment will have to be made very special (and cost a sh!t load of money) to make it anywhere near suitable for cars powered by Windows 10 to find their way around.

Good job we still have a human in control of car to sort out the rubbish.
Some people will only consider you an expert if they agree with your point of view or advice,  when you give them advice they don't like they consider you an idiot

Good job we still have a human in control of car to sort out the rubbish.

I find that I can control the stop/go with my right foot, the lights with my left hand, the wipers with my right hand and the radio with my left fingers. When in use the satnav is nearly in my line of sight, not two feet away and looking downwards. Most of the time my eyes are on the road around me
I guess that makes me a Luddite but I can cope with computers.

A luddite, maybe but can a computer cope with the drivers have not read the rules for decades and make up their driving rules as they drive?
