How to remove replace a fog lamp on a 2006 Sport?

Hi Guys,

I have a 2006 model Sport Jazz, recently purchased. The drivers side fog light is cracked and I need to replace it. I've bought a second hand one but need to know if I can just replace it without removing the whole bumper. I've checked the forum for any past post but found one with pictures no longer available.

I've attached a picture of my Jazz so your able to see the type of fog light I have.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Have you checked the owner's manual under Light Bulb Replacement - Foglight?

How to do this on a 2014 Jazz is shown in the owner's manual.

Attached, for reference, is my best efforts of a cut and paste of the instructions for 2014 model .

I checked the Jazz owners manual and it shows a very basic way of replacing the bulb. It shows to remove the button bumper cover to get access through to the fog lamp but doesn't show how the lamp is fitted on to the bumper.

Has anyone removed the fog lamp from the bumper before?

To remove it according to Haynes you need to work from behind the bumper, removing the engine undershield and working from there, removing the bulb and then the lamp unit which is just clipped in place.

Are you in Leeds/Bradford, I say this cause your car picture seems familiar as I was also looking for a Jazz recently. I ended up buying a CVT Auto, but if I rememberer correctly the one in the picture is a manual. Good luck with fixing the light. Hopefully it will not be a big task.

hi, not sure if you've done it yet but ill post anyway for anyone else who encounters this problem. the fog lamp is just behind the inner arch, so all you'll need to do is pull the plastic back, simply unplug the wiring in the back of the lamp, unscrew the bracket, unscrew the fog lamp from the bracket, then vice versa for the replacement its an easy job and takes no time at all.

looking from your photo, where the cable goes into the lamp, there's like a 'locking tab' slightly lift or squeeze together depending on how the connector is and then pull down wards and the connector is removed.

Hi JazzB, today I tried again by using your method to pull down the power connector, and then turn one quarter anticlockwise for the lamp.
Finally, I can successfully replace the fog lamp.
