Pinking after blanking off the EGR Valve

Hi Folks,

I fitted an EGR blanking plate to eliminate it as a possible cause for misfire. It has helped but not cured the misfire but now it pinks at low revs and light throttle inputs.

Has anyone seen the EGR blanking plates do this before?
